Sishen Hall was built by Wu Xicheng (1803-1849, brother of Wu Xilian,), the 32nd generation of the Wu family. Si Shen Hall is famous for its Wu Juren (successful martial nominees in the provincial-level Imperial Examinations). Wu Zhang Xing (1684-1739), ranked as nineteenth Wu Juren(武举人) in the provincial-level examination, his two sons also attained Wu Juren degrees successively. This hall has produced seven Wu Juren, known as Martial Arts Family. The building area is 1,062.35 square meters. The name “Si Shen” comes from “The Book of Rites – The Doctrine of The Mean”, Chapter 19 of which reads, “ (As a junzi,) he should learn as much as possible, be specific in his requests for advice, think through carefully the learning he has acquired, make clear judgements and practice with serious intent”

Sishen Hall has two courtyards, the front yard and the back yard. The front yard is arranged in a Sanheyuan style. The two-storied principal hall and Xiangfang on the left and right of the courtyard are three rooms wide, with an eaves gallery around the courtyard. The small door on the east and west side walls is facing the eaves gallery, using stone for the door frame, lintel with exquisite stone carving patterns.
