Duke Quanzhi
Wu Quanzhi

Wu Quanzhi (873-950), courtesy name Jishi, was the eldest son of Wu Shiqing (吴十庆), the founder of the Wu family in Xianju. He was born in the ninth month of the fourteenth year of the reign of Yizong of the Tang Dynasty. Because there was some social instability in the Later Tang Dynasty, in the second year (899) of Guanghua of the Tang Dynasty, he moved from Shuichang to Xiali (Xianju). In the second year of Kaiping (908) of Later Liang of the Five Dynasties, he attained Jinshi degree, and he successively served as Grand Master of the Palace with silver seal and blue ribbon, Chancellor of the National Academy (国子监祭酒) and censor-in-chief (御史). He died peacefully in old age in the 3rd year of the Qian You period in the later Han Dynasty. His tomb is at the western foot of the eastern hill.

His wife, Chen Shi, had one son, Wu Chen (903-949), who progressed from military officer to Deputy General. He was killed in battle against Guo Wei of the Later Zhou Dynasty in the second year of Qian You (949) of Later Han Dynasty. Wu Chen had two sons, Wu Fa and Wu Sheng (who died as an infant). Wu Fa (925-990), an erudite and knowledgeable scholar who took delight in travel with the wise men had one son, Wu Fu.
